Folar has a new website

This is just the beginning of our new website and we hope you enjoy exploring it and that you will contribute blogs, links, ideas, images and more. Just get in touch with us at our new email address - coming very soon.

FOLAR would like to thank everyone who has donated so generously to make this website possible, without that support we wouldn’t be here now.

One of the best things about our site are the images - and we thank the MERL and the LI landscape collection for enabling us to show the world just a small selection (at the moment) of the landscape drawings, photos and papers at the MERL. We hope over time we can show more and more of these bobby dazzlers and encourage more and more people to visit, use and enjoy the collection at Reading.

Another of the very special things about this website is the Tom Turner video collection - the recordings that Tom has made of a number of presentations given at our symposia and some other talks we have held. We are indebted to Tom for knowing in the first instance that these videos were important to have, and then for making them available for everyone to share, and setting us off on this journey - this is a brilliant resource we intend to continue to grow.

We would also like to thank those who helped with the design and set up of our new website: Diana Armstrong Bell, Helen Neve, Karen Fitzsimon, Colin Moore - and Laura London who designed this site for us. Things are always much more complex and time consuming than ever seems possible at the beginning.

It will be very exciting to see where we go with this…
